about: back from cancun
I'm back from Cancun, the greastest vacation spot on the face of the planet. I had an awesome time there. How awesome? Let's go to the list:
- Watch Kill Bill Vol. 1
Nope, I didn't take the laptop, which has Kill Bill on it. I did, however, see Kill Bill Vol. 2 in the theater a couple days before I left.
- Read a couple books
Yes. I read David Sedaris' Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim and I finished Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich, the summer required reading for the University of Missouri - Columbia.
- Eat as much Mexican food as possible
There was actually a very big shortage of what we call "Mexican" food (i.e. tacos, nachos, burritos, etc.) down there, but they did have at least one buffet open at all times, so I ate no less than three meals a day. Which were cooked in Mexico, so it's Mexican food.
- Drink as many watered-down Mexican drinks as possible
Six thousand Bahama Mamas and the occasional Piña Colada. Thanks to Panfilo and Ricardo, the two best bartenders in Mexico, for all the good stuff.
- Get completely toasted
I'm as tan as a Saudi.
- Find a good club
Well, I found one. I didn't go there, but I know what it was called and that the hotel would take you there for $28 US.
- Do numbers 3-5 again
Yes.
I've got some other stories to tell, but I'll save them for later. Cancun is definitely where I'm going for Spring Break next year. I'm so amped.
Slightly cleaner, but equally dark, Mexican,
